🌱 Experience Summer Fun on the Farm! 🌱 Join Urban Wholistics at SONIA Organics Farm for an exciting summer of hands-on farming, entrepreneurship, and leadership development. The Farm to Market at Urban South Youth Farmers Market (USYFM) program is open to youth ages 8–17 and runs June 10 through August 1, every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Urban Wholistics Farm in Tatum Park. Through this unique program, Youth Farmers will learn how to turn crops into commerce by exploring every step of the farm-to-market process. Participants will: 🌱 Plant, grow, and harvest fruits, vegetables, and herbs 🧑🏾🌾 Learn sustainable urban agriculture practices from seed to harvest 🛒 Participate in the Urban South Youth Farmers Market (USYFM) 💰 Learn entrepreneurship, pricing, customer service, and sales skills 🏷️ Develop product branding, packaging, value added products and marketing concepts 🍎 Explore nutrition, healthy food systems, and wholistic wellness 🤝 Build leadership, teamwork, communication, and workforce readiness skills 📈 Gain real-world experience operating a youth-led farmers market Youth will discover how food moves from the field to the marketplace while developing valuable business, financial literacy, and leadership skills that can last a lifetime.
